U/V printing is a unique process that can really add the finishing touch to your print job. U/V technology uses ultra violet light to ‘cure’ the ink onto the chosen surface.

With U/V printing we can print not only on paper but also on plastic, PVC, polyurethane, Reflectacote, Magnecote, Flocked board, fabric and other flat surfaces.

U/V makes the finished product extremely robust so it won’t be subject to scuffing or marking throughout the finishing process. The product can also be used immediately after printing rather than waiting hours, sometimes days for the finished job to dry. This makes U/V printing ideal for those urgent jobs where every hour counts. This time sensitivity combined with its quality high gloss finish makes U/V printing a popular technique for many of Australia’s leading magazine publishers.

U/V printing is also an environmentally friendly printing process. The emissions from our U/V lamps actually produce raw oxygen into the atmosphere. This effect is similar to the way the swimming pool built in Sydney for the 2000 Olympics used U/V technology via its Ozone filtration system to produce a sparkling clean, virtually chlorine free pool.

Our staff have been pioneers in the U/V printing process since its introduction to Australia more than 22 years ago. If you would like to know more about the U/V process and how it could add something special to your job please contact one of our team.
